Ezvid features that make it one of the best free screen capture software for Windows.
Push-button recording: All you have to do is hit the record button and you will be recording instantly. It is easy to use no matter how little you know about such software.
HD recording: This is a really popular screen capture software for Windows because of its HD video capabilities. You will not easily find a software that produces similar results without subjecting you to a sea of settings.
Draw on the screen: This makes for better illustration and therefore more clarity in your videos. Ezvid allows you to draw on the screen with the cursor.
Inbuilt editor: Not even the really good screen capture software such as OBS have this feature. Ezvid lets you edit your final screen recording to remove unwanted segments, add images and even text annotations.
Speech synthesis: This is another very rare feature to find in a free screen capture program. Ezvid lets you add text slides to your presentations. You can make the program read the test by just hitting a button.
Webcam integration: You can record from your webcam and integrate the footage into your screen captures. This feature makes the program applicable in more ways. What we like about Ezvid
No watermarks: Ezvid screen recordings do not come with watermarks. This is not seen that much in free computer screen capture software.
Easy posting to Youtube: You can cast the video to youtube easily, right within the program. All you have to do is enter your YouTube details and the video will be uploaded.
Easy operation: This screen capture program is not complicated although it does have some useful features. You will find it easy to operate even though you are not conversant with such programs.
Thorough help documentation: The developers of Ezvid went above and beyond the call of duty with their detailed guide. You will find solutions to most of the bumming problems that are common with Ezvid. If you cannot find it in their help file, you certainly will find it in a forum somewhere, or in a video on YouTubeWhat we don’t like
Limited length: Ezvid has been stingy with its video length and only lets you record for 45 minutes. If you have a marathon screencast to make, this can be a pain in the neck.
No saving to pc: You cannot save your screen recordings to your hard drive. Ezvid lets you record, edit, and then post directly to YouTUbe. While the direct YouTube posting is a great feature, we wish there could have been an option to save to pc.
No way to hide the widget: There is no way to completely hide the widget which allows you to control your recordings. You can make it a little transparent but it is all still unsightly. The only way to hide it is if you use the advanced screen capture mode, where you can select a small region on your desktop.
Who is Ezvid for?
If You are a YouTuber who does not make overly complicated videos then Ezvid is for you. If however you need heavy editing, heavier than Ezvid inbuilt editors is capable of, then you are better off finding another free screen capture software such as OBS. That is because you cannot save your video to hard drive with Ezvid.
This cannot work for you as well if you produce lengthy videos. This particularly applies Youtube gamers with more than 45 minutes of casting time per session. Ezvid is a good computer screen capture software if you can get past it’s two main flaws. If not, there are lots other replacements.
